This hotel was a fantastic surprise and an absolute gem. I find some of the negative reviews hard to understnad. The location is ideal—right on the edge of the old town, so you’re close to the action without being all the noise and crowds. We stayed in a superior room, which felt brand new—stylish, well-furnished, with a fridge and a modern bathroom and an excellent shower. The bed and pillows were genuinely comfortable, and the small balcony with a view of the Acropolis was perfect for unwinding. One standout for me was the cleanliness, great in a way that many similar hotels just don’t manage. But the real highlight? The rooftop terrace and breakfast room. The vibe is relaxed and uplifting, with great energy. The terrace is open 24/7, and you’re free to bring your own drinks—ideal for watching the sunrise, sunset, or enjoying the city lights. Breakfast went above expectations. It’s more than just the usual continental —everything was fresh and well-prepared. Warm boiled eggs (rare!), fresh bread straight from the oven, juicy kiwis, flavorful cheeses, hummus, and savory pies. If I had to nitpick: coffee options were basic. A cappuccino or a traditional Greek coffee would’ve been great. And the packed breakfast we received on our early departure day was a letdown—a sad little sandwich and a bottle of water. But neither of those points are deal-breakers. The staff were warm, helpful, and consistently kind—at both the front desk and breakfast area. Bottom line: If you’re headed to Athens, this hotel is 100% worth booking. Central, peaceful, clean, and full of thoughtful details that make your stay feel elevated.

I am very grateful for having stayed at Evripides for 5 days with my family as it surpassed our expectations. The recently renovated rooms on floors 4-6 were spacious, clean, modern and had comfortable mattresses, A/C, safe, hot power shower, TV and balcony. It was cleaned daily. The restaurant where breakfast is served is amazing, located on the 7th floor with views of the Acropolis and the surrounding neighbourhood. Excellent Greek and Continental breakfast. It also opens for dinner as a bar and offering light bites (pizza, sandwiches). I also made use of the decent fitness room in the basement floor where there were two good treadmills. The location is on the edge of tourist areas and a short walk to Monastiraki square with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants within 5-10 minute walk - excellent restaurant Karamanlidika two blocks away. It looks like an area in transformation (gentrification?) as many old buildings are being renovated for hotels and apartments. The cherry on the cake was the staff, always extremely friendly. Special thanks to the couple running the breakfast and Sara at the reception. We would surely stay again!

Everything it was a great place for the value. We stayed there for 3 nights. I have stayed in 3 star hotels, this one was so much better. The room was very clean and comfortable. The receptionist the one with black curly hair was the best of all. She spoiled us I really like her. The shower was great! Our room had a small balcony with a very good view. Also, the rooftop and the restaurant had an amazing view. The breakfast was very good for the price and you can eat quite well. The desserts wet the best! Also, in general the personnel from the restaurant, the bar and front desk were awesome. We had to catch a ferry very early in the morning and they prepared us a much to go to the port, which I did not expected that was super nice on them. I really like the place you receive quite a lot for the money place. You are 5 or 6 minutes away from the downtown. The room is as described in the photo. We are definitely coming back.

This is a great hotel in the Psyri area of Athens which has a nice village feel even though it's bustling and right in the middle of the city only a 20.minute walk from the Acropolis and 10 minutes from Monistiraki Square. The room was spacious and clean with proper wardrobe and very good Aircon. Bed was king-size and very comfortable Breakfast was great with lots of choice and excellent views across to the Acropolis Of an evening it doubles as a bar and it was great to sit on the roof terrace with a glass of wine Staff were very friendly and helpful and were on reception 24 hrs. There are loads of great bars and tavernas on the doorstep and live music in the square It's easy to get to with a train from the airport to Monistiraki station then a 10 minute walk

Paul

Very clean room. Comfortal bed with extra pillows available in closet and duvet cover used (instead of a sheet under a duvet). 24 hour receptionist. Excellent location, very close to Monastiraki square (7 min walk). Free luggage storage in an unlocked area. Several paid lockers available for 2 euros (no time limit). Also paid luggage weight available (I did not use). The best part, amazing top floor breakfast area with floor to ceiling glass window. A good spread of breakfast items, including boiled eggs, bread slices, cheese pastries, cereals, juices from a machine, decent coffee, yummy Greek yogurt, oranges, ham slices, cheese slices and fresh Greek salad ingredients (cucumber, tomato, olives, feta cheese). A lovely breakfast buffet to start one's day.
